The camera stand is built with one CF upper plate and one Alu plate (black), and with silicone dampers in between. In the test, we put a steel block (the big black block, weight 1200g) on top of the camera stand. You will see the vibration has been deadened significantly for the coins putting on top of the steel block.
The blue damper is made with 50-degree silicone rubber which is a bit harder than the red one (40-degree). The shockproof outcome will depend on several factors (vibration freqs, camera weight, etc.). You may try different hardness for best result.
The causes of vibration depends on several factors and the frequencies are all different, thus it may be impossible to eliminate all vibration by individual product. There are many types of damper in market, but the common issue is that the outcomes may not always as good as expected due to different vibration factor, frequency and payload.
The selling point of this product is that the way you use the silicone damper unit is quite flexible including the position/layout, quantity and hardness, which is expected to solve the vibration issue case by case.
To find the best result is probably a iterative and tedious procedure. Please do this with patience. Generally, the heavier the camera is, the harder damper is suggested. The loading weight, vibration frequency, damper quantity, position/layout, and hardness will affect the result.
The hardnesses of damper are 40 and 50 drgree, there are two kinds of package: mount + 40 degree x 4 and mount + 50 degree x 4.
