DIY: GUA180 Racing Drone
A pilot shared his modified GUA180. Let’s see!
Here is the original design. The pilot wanted to modify the frame and decrease extra weight.
The pilot drew the frame Ver.1, made from glass fiber. He was not satisfied with it; the goal is 320g~350g weight.
Here is the frame Ver.2, made from 1mm glass fiber.
The pilot wanted to assemble a thin racing kit (made from 1.5 carbon fiber)with extreme light weight.
For the accessories, he would like to use 10mm 3D printed frame between 1.5mm CF plates, 1806 motors, and 4’’ props.
Naze32 or F3 flight controller
Customized, very small ESCs
PPM or SBUS receiver
Mini video TX
D5.5 10mm aluminum bolts
The pilot tried deffierent lens.
Assemble the camera mount
Assemble 650line 170 degrees lens. Tilt angle: 20 degrees
Here is the frame Ver.3.
Carbon fiber plates weighs 44.4g.
(For larger lens) the weight is 64.6g
(For smaller lens), the weight is 62.5g
From ver.1 to ver.3, the pilot decreases the weight but keep the strength.
